How old is the Gran Teatro?

It opened on 13 April 1873 with the opera Martha. It closed in 1970, the City Council took it over in 1982 and it reopened on 19 March 1986 after its restoration. It is an Italian-style theatre with a horseshoe-shaped auditorium and 946 seats.
